Wells set for Queens Park Rangers loan

Queens Park Rangers are closing in on the loan signing of Burnley forward Nakhi Wells, according to Sky Sports.

The Championship club are currently looking to bring in more fire power after losing all four of their league games so far this season while they have scored just twice.

Wells signed for the Terriers last summer though he played just forty-six minutes in the league last season, across nine brief substitute appearances while he also came off the bench in the Clarets’ 4-1 FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester City.

Prior to his switch to Burnley, Wells played over a hundred and fifty times for Huddersfield Town, scoring forty-nine goals and was part of the squad that achieved promotion via the play-offs in 2017.

Internationally, the twenty-eight-year old has been capped nine times for Bermuda, scoring five goals though he hasn’t made an appearance in almost three-and-a-half years.
