Arsenal and Manchester United managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are set to extend their touchline rivalry and take it to the transfer market if latest reports from German media outlet Bild are to be believed.
Gunners and Red Devils are said to be vying over the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus whose contract with Bundesliga giants is set to expire in 2019.
The 28-year-old German international has been struggling with injuries for quite some time and has seen his prime career years being crippled with a devastating run of fitness problems.
Having seen his 2014 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2016 dreams crashed by injuries, Reus is yet to be given a run in the current campaign under Dortmund boss Peter Bosz.
Despite his limited playing time and recurring injury problems, Marco Reus is still high in demand and is set to spark a bidding war between Premier League giants Arsenal and United.
Wenger and Mourinho could offer Reus a change of scenery and a chance to reignite his career.
The German winger is already in the final year of his contract with Dortmund and could be available either for a cut price in January or for free at the end of the current campaign which is something English clubs are trying to exploit.
