(GSM) – Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted following Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Liverpool at the Emirates. Wenger labelled the victory as a ‘massive result’ for the club.

The Gunners’ league title hopes appeared to be fading after the consecutive losses against rivals Manchester United and Chelsea. However, the win against Liverpool has put them back in the title race once again, something which delighted the Arsenal boss.

He told Sky Sports, “It is a massive night for the club. To be back within six points (of leaders Chelsea) is great for us.

“It is a massive result for us because we had a massive disappointment in the last two games.

“We have shown great mental strength and solidarity against a very well-organised team.

“It was very difficult. Liverpool played very well. It was very tight”, Wenger concluded.
