The FA has confirmed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not be charged over his comments made towards referee Lee Probert.
The Frenchman reacted badly after his side’s 2-1 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday, with defender Johan Djourou sent off 12 minutes from time for a second bookable offence.
Martin Jol’s men went on to come from behind and secure victory, with goals from Steve Sidwell and Bobby Zamora coming after the Swiss defender’s dismissal, prompting the Gunners boss to criticise the officials in the aftermath of the result.
“The referee influenced the game in completely the wrong way, in my opinion,” Wenger said after the game.
However, the FA have decided that they will not take any action over the comments.
An FA spokesman said: “We have looked at the statements made and I can confirm we won’t be taking the matter further.”
