Wenger happy with current goalkeeping options

Arsene Wenger has suggested that he may not pursue a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech this summer, according to the Metro.

The Gunners boss has been continuously linked with a move for a new shot-stopper over the past two seasons, and the Blues’ man is one name constantly in the frame.

However, when asked recently the sixty-five year old hinted that he is happy with his current goalkeeping options.

Colombia international David Ospina has racked up seventeen appearances in this, his first campaign with the North London club while Wojciech Szczesny has played one hundred and eighty times since making his debut in the 2009/2010 campaign.

Cech, who turns 33 this month, made his four hundred and eighty-fifth appearance for Chelsea in their 3-1 win over Leicester City on Wednesday evening, a result which has moved them to within one victory of clinching their first Premier League title in five years.
