Wenger hints at Henry deal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted at a possibility of signing New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry.

The 34-year-old has been training with the Gunners ever since the MLS season finished, and Wenger doesn’t want to rule out the possibility of signing the Frenchman.

“You want to speak of Henry, and I can understand that, but at the moment he just practises with us,” Wenger told reporters.

“I cannot say if there is even a chance, because I haven’t investigated that. I haven’t made any approach, neither to him nor to his club.

“I do not always master all my thoughts, so it has to come through my brain at some stage, but I haven’t been concrete on the case.

“Is he still good enough to play in the Premier League? Yes.”
