(GSM) – Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Olympique Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will not leave Stade Gerland this summer.

The 23-year-old was rumoured to be a candidate to replace Manuel Almunia at Arsenal, while top European clubs including Manchester United and Bayern München are also said to be interested.

However, Wenger believes Lyon would have no reason to sell the £15 million-rated France international, whose current deal runs until 2013.

“He is under contract so I do not see why he will leave,” he said in France Football. “Lyon do not need the money. They are a rich club.”
