Wenger – No offers for Podolski

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the club have received no offers for Lukas Podolski, according to the Daily Star.

The Germany international, who was part of Joachim Low’s victorious squad at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, has fallen out of favour with the North London club this season.

His only start came in League Cup third round defeat to Southampton, with his other appearances coming as late cameos in the Premier League and in Europe.

Wolfsburg had been linked with a move for the 29 year old former Bayern Munich man, though Wenger this week moved to confirm that no bids have been forthcoming.

The Gunners, who sealed their place in the last sixteen of the Champions League with victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, travel to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, and the away win can be backed at a price of 4/5.
