(GSM) – Dennis Bergkamp and Arsene Wenger are not on the same wavelength when it comes to a possible coaching job at Arsenal. The former Arsenal attacker, currently working as a youth coach at Ajax, said that the Gunners would like to add him to their coaching staff. On Wednesday, Wenger announced that he hasn’t offered Bergkamp a coaching job.
“I think Dennis Bergkamp will be a very good coach,” Wenger said on the club’s official website. “But at the moment, we have not looked for anybody. If one day we do, I will consider former players, but at the moment, we have not.”
“They want me to come, but it’s too early for that,” was Bergkamp’s version of the story. “I can see myself working with Arsene Wenger. We share out honesty, humor, vision, how to manage people and how to work with young players. It all worked out. There have been some hints. From him, from Arsenal, from the media. They want me to come.”
