According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Arsene Wenger is no longer in the running to take over as the new Bayern Munich manager following Niko Kovac’s departure. Wenger is believed to have had a conversation on the phone with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and at that stage, it was determined that they wouldn’t be progressing any further.
Wenger has been out of work since last year when he left Arsenal Football Club after two decades of standing on the touchline at Highbury and the Emirates. Many have questioned whether or not he’d even pursue the idea of another managerial position, but as time goes on, it seems as if he’s starting to get the itch once again.
Whether or not that leads to anything of real substance remains to be seen, but for the time being, Germany doesn’t look like it’s going to be the Frenchman’s next destination in terms of his career path.
