(GSM) – Arsenal bolstered their defence on Wednesday by sealing the deal for Laurent Koscielny but Arsene Wenger isn’t satisfied yet. “We are still on the market for another defensive player.”

“We identified Koscielny as a very, very strong centre half,” Wenger told Arsenal.com. 24-year-old Koscielny joins the Gunners from Lorient.

“He can be an outstanding addition to our team. But it is not over, we are still open to buy.

“We are still on the market for another defensive player because we have the need for one more.”

Wenger also revealed his doubts over first choice goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. The French manager revealed a decision on who was to be his number one next season would be made shortly.

“Manuel Almunia is a talented goalkeeper,” he told Kenya newspaper The Standard. “In training, he is superb, the only problem is that he gets nervous on big matches, thereby making silly mistakes.

“After the World Cup, we will be making an announcement on goalkeeping.”
