Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger last night hinted that he is ready to sell Manuel Almunia this summer.
Almunia has had a poor season at the Emirates and Wenger is refusing to back his under-fire Spanish keeper, despite previously insisting that the 32-year-old would remain his first choice.
“I never said that he will be my long-term No.1,” explained Wenger.
“He is a great goalkeeper and he is in competition with Lukasz Fabianski. So I want to see how we finish now so I don’t think it is the best period to talk about individual players.”
