(GSM) – Arsene Wenger is confident Cesc Fabregas will stay at Arsenal, despite the mounting rumours that the Gunners skipper will join Barcelona at the end of the season.
Barcelona are long-term admirers of the Arsenal midfielder, keen to take the 22-year-old back to his homeland.
Yesterday Cadena Ser Radio reported that Fabregas had struck a verbal agreement with Barca to return to the club next season.
Arsenal boss Wenger remains adamant that is not the case, claiming he has no intention of letting his captain leave, but the Frenchman admits there is no telling what the future will hold.
“There is no concern at all,” he said.
“What is more of a concern is that we try everything to win something.
“He is committed when he plays, what’s the future? We don’t know what will happen in six months, in two years, in five years.”
