Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will make no further additions to his squad this summer by claiming that bringing in a new player would kill off the chances of a youngster, according to The Daily Mirror.
“I’m in a position to spend, but we have done such a great job with the young players that I’m concerned we’d kill a young player by bringing another one in,” said Wenger according to the report.
Arsenal have already seen some of their key players from last season take off this summer, while others are seeking lucrative moves, but Wenger has hardly made any additions to his squad.
Apart from the arrival of Aaron Ramsey from Cardiff and Marseille’s Samir Nasri, Wenger has not made a significant move. However, his squad will be bolstered next year by the arrival of Mexican wonderkid Carlos Vela – who was finally granted a work permit.
