According to Sky Germany, Arsene Wenger would prefer for his next role in football to be in an executive manner as opposed to managerial. The news will come as a bit of a shock to fans who are anticipating Wenger to return to the touchline in early 2019, especially given that he has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The 69 year old seems to prefer the idea of a boardroom role following more than two decades as the Arsenal manager.

Bayern Munich are likely going to be going in search of a new manager sooner rather than later, with Niko Kovac hanging onto his position by a thread.

Given his age and experience very few fans would criticise Wenger for wanting to hang up his managerial boots so to speak, even though it’d be nice to see him make a comeback. Either way, it seems likely that his next job is destined to be outside of the Premier League.
