Looking to continue what is becoming a very eye-catching run of form, high-flying Werder Bremen will travel to an inconsistent Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, putting in another very worrying display in their 3-1 hammering away at Fortuna Dusseldorf last weekend, Borussia Monchengladbach now find themselves outside of the top four. Now on a run of form that has seen them record just a single Bundesliga victory in their last seven outings, a run that stems back to the start of February, Dieter Hecking will be growing more concerned by their issues at Borussia-Park. Sunday’s hosts have failed to win any of their last four matches in front of their own supporters and have conceded a very concerning 12 goals on that run.

As for the visitors, picking up a 2-0 win away at Schalke and booking their spot in the semi-final of this year’s DFP Pokal, the mood in Werder Bremen’s camp couldn’t be any higher. In pole position to book Europa League football for the Weserstadion this season, another victory for Florian Kohfeldt’s side on Sunday would see them climb within touching distance of Monchengladbach. On a four-match winning run and saving their best performances for the back end of the season, Bremen have really started to shine on the road. Winning their last two away matches, Kohfeldt’s men are unbeaten on their travels in 2019.
