Bundesliga side Werder Bremen are considering a move for veteran goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand, Kreiszeitung can reveal.
The Weserstadion outfit are on the lookout for a new shot-stopper as Raphael Wolf is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
And considering that they can only sign free agents outside a transfer window, Werder are now looking at Timo Hildebrand.
The 36-year-old was released from his contract at Eintracht Frankfurt in January this year, and he has since been searching for a new club.
Werder Bremen appear ready to offer him a short-term contract, although the latest reports suggest that Hildebrand would prefer to move to Major League Soccer.
The experienced goalkeeper had made a name for himself at VFB Stuttgart, but has largely struggled ever since he left the Swabians.
Hildebrand went on to enjoy spells with Valencia, Hoffenheim, Sporting Lisbon, Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt, making just 15 league appearances in last two years.
