Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs has repeated that Thomas Schaaf is not in danger of losing his job.

After Werder loss at Schalke 04 home (1-0), his position is the same: “I don’t mind answering questions about Schaaf’s future because our position hasn’t changed,” Allofs told local reporters after the game. “I am still completely convinced that Thomas Schaaf is the right man for us, but the fact of the matter is that he can’t go on the field and nudge the ball over the line himself and he can’t be the one to mark Benedikt Höwedes.

“There is no undying oath of loyalty at Werder, but we value the work of Schaaf and don’t see a need to bring in someone else”, Allofs added.
