Werder Bremen sign Felix Kroos

German club SV Werder Bremen have completed the signing of young forward Felix Kroos from Hansa Rostock. Kroos, 19, was seeking greener pastures following Hansa’s relegation from the 2.Bundesliga last season, and has signed a three year contract with Werder Bremen. Kroos is the younger brother of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos.

Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf has said that he hopes that Kroos will develop well with the Green Whites. Werder finished third in the 09/10 German Bundesliga and will be competing in the playoff rounds of the UEFA Champions League in the forthcoming season.

Kroos is a German U-19 international and has also represented his country at U-16, U-17 and U-18 levels.
