Werder Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed the German club are interested in signing Juventus winger Eljero Elia.
The former Hamburg man has repeatedly been linked with a return to the
Bundesliga in the past few weeks, and the Werder official has now admitted that
they are indeed keen to lure Elia back to Germany.
“He is one of the players we are interested in, and we’re looking into the
possibility of signing him,” Allofs told reporters.
The 25-year-old Netherlands international joined Juve in 2011, but has failed to
make an impact in the Serie A.
