(GSM) – Werder Bremen are through to the final of the German DFB Pokal following a 2-0 win over 2.Bundesliga side Augsburg.

All the pressure was on Werder to do well in this match. Augsburg had beaten Duisburg and Köln in the previous rounds but faced much stronger opposition in Tuesday’s semi final.

Half an hour had passed at Bremen’s Weserstadion when Marko Marin scored the home side’s opener. Stiker Claudio Pizarro ended all doubts at six minutes from the end.

In the final, Werder face a tough challenge against the winner of the semi final clash between Schalke 04 and Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
