Werder are set to complete the signing of Austria Wien midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic, Bild reports.
The club from Bremen have been searching for a new creative midfielder and it looks as though they have found their man.
Austria Wien released a statement on their official website confirming that Junuzovic was set to complete his move to Werder.
“Junuzovic travels today from the training camp in Antalya for negotiations in Bremen,” the statement read.
Bild reveals that the two clubs have already agreed a transfer fee, thought to be worth €750,000.
Austria Wien chief Thomas Parits says that the club doesn’t want to stand in the way of the player’s progress.
“We didn’t want to deny him this chance so I told Werder sporting director Klaus Allofs that he can negotiate with him.
”Zlatko would also be available for free in the summer.”
Werder Bremen boss Thomas Schaaf sees Junuzovic as a natural successor to a long list of excellent playmakers such as Herzog, Micoud, Diego and Ozil.
The Austrian international joined Austria Wien from Austria Karnten in the summer of 2009 and has since grown into one of the best players in Austrian Bundesliga.
