Werder Bremen are set to complete the signing of Polish midfielder Ludovic Obraniak from Bordeaux, according to L’Equipe.
The Ligue 1 side have reportedly accepted a €2 million bid from Germany, giving the player permission to negotiate personal terms.
Obraniak is expected to undergo a medical at Werder later today before putting pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Bundesliga side.
The 29-year-old had a contract until June 2015 at Stade Chaban-Delmas, but decided to leave les Girondins after spending last two years at the club.
Ludovic Obraniak has spent his entire professional career up to date in France, making a total of 319 league appearances for Metz, Lille and Bordeaux, scoring 38 goals in the process.
It remains to be seen whether the Poland international will be in contention for make his debut in weekend’s away fixture against Augsburg, where Werder are no less than 4/1 to claim maximum points.
