Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder continues to be linked with a January exit with his official representative slamming coach Cesare Prandelli for leaving his client on the bench.

The Netherlands star came on as a second-half substitute in the weekend’s 3-0 loss to Trabzonspor and it is perfectly clear he was angry not to have started the game.

Sneijder’s agent criticised the club and coach for the poor treatment of his client and even suggested the 30-year-old could leave the Turk Telekom Arena outfit in January.

“I do not know why he was sitting on the bench,” agent Guido Albers told Bugun TV.

“We’ll have talks with the board on Wednesday in Brussels. We’re going to speak about Wesley and we’ll discuss this important event.

“I really do not know why he did not start in the team. Sneijder wants to stay, but he continues to sit on the bench. Nobody wants to sit on the bench.

“This is Prandelli’s decision. Sneijder can’t do anything. Is this going to happen every week? That will be the big question on Wednesday. What are your plans?”

Wesley Sneijder had been reportedly unhappy at Galatasaray even before said incident, but he never expressed his desire to leave publicly.

His agent’s comments, however, are enough to suggest the Dutch midfielder is seriously thinking about leaving Turkey, with quite a few top clubs likely to jump at the opportunity to secure his services.

Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter Milan in January 2013 and went on to score 18 goals in 50 Turkish Super Lig outings.
