ESPN is reporting that Netherlands star Wesley Sneijder is set to agree a deal with Los Angeles FC.
The 33-year-old has another year left on his contract at Galatasaray and he has reportedly been offered a two-year deal worth $3.5 million by the MLS expansion team.
It is believed that Sneijder will soon accept the proposal and thus become the club’s first ever Designated Player.
With Los Angeles FC to play their debut MLS fixture in March 2018, the midfielder is expected to join his new club in January next year.
Wesley Sneijder recently became Netherlands’ most capped player with 131 appearances for the national team and there are no doubts that his capture will provide a huge boost for the club partly owned by Hollywood star Will Ferrell.
