Despite Manchester City having beaten West Bromwich Albion 3-2 at the Hawthorns when the two sides met earlier this season, there’s good reason why the Baggies could well get their revenge on the Citizens this evening.

West Brom are currently 16th in the table, three points above the drop zone. Man City are 3rd, nine points adrift of top spot, with two games in hand on Chelsea & Liverpool above them.

City have been in poor form of late. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have won just one game in their last four in the Premier League, conceding seven goals in the process. West Brom have seen an upturn in form of late, amassing eight points from their previous five.

Bet 365 are giving odds of 10/3 for the Midlands outfit to avoid defeat to the title-chasers tonight. West Brom, managed by Pepe Mel, has only lost twice in their last eight games. The side have impressively picked up points against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea (twice), Manchester United, Tottenham (twice), Everton (twice) and Liverpool this season.

Mel’s side clearly aren’t fazed by the big occasion, and have survival to play for tonight that sees them desperately needing a result.
