West Brom kick off their campaign with an even tie against Sunderland. Both clubs were embroiled in a relegation battle last season, and took points off each other in the process too, and as a result Ladbrokes are giving odds of 12/5 for the Midlands outfit to play out a stalemate with the Black Cats.

Baggies have little in attack for their opening game, with Victor Anichebe likely to start up front, but as the away side Sunderland will be looking to play more cautiously in the first game which could lead to the side’s cancelling each other out.

West Brom are being tipped for the drop by many bookmakers this season, while Sunderland are hoping to stay clear of the relegation zone. Home advantage will put some pressure on the Baggies to perform today while the Black Cats will be happy to take a share of the spoils as they have a lot of new players to bed in to the team.
