Competition: Premier League
Market: West Brom to stay up
Odds: 2/7 @ Coral
After a fantastic 4-0 win against Burnley on the weekend, West Bromwich Albion are confident they can build on their fine performance to give themselves the best chances of staying the Premier League this season.
They struggled in 2013/14, finishing low in the bottom-half of the table, and many felt it would be a similar or worse fate for them this season.
Prior to the Burnley win, the Midlands outfit were coming off the back of a 1-0 away win to Tottenham, and in the space of one week have gone from 16th to 10th in the table. Manager Alan Irvine was under intense pressure due to the Baggies’ winless start to the season, but now he’s enjoying a purple patch of form.
Coral are giving odds of 2/7 for West Brom to stay up this season, but previously many felt they would be one of the three teams destined for relegation, with Irvine getting the chop as a result. But such thoughts seem miles away now, and with back-to-back wins to nil, West Brom are no longer looking down the table, but up.
