West Brom 4/6 to beat Wigan Athletic in Wednesday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: West Brom win

Odds: 4/6 @ Bet 365

Sat in pole position to land a Premier League return for next year, a high-flying West Brom will travel to relegation scrappers Wigan on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, suffering a 2-1 loss away at fellow relegation scrappers Luton over the weekend, Wigan have continued on what can best be described as a crisis. Freefalling into the drop zone and now chasing a two-point buffer, the Latics have lost six of their last eight matchups and have failed to record a single victory since the 20th of October. There is no doubt that Head Coach Paul Cook will be growing more concerned by his side’s continued issues on home soil. Losing each of their last three matches at the DW, Wednesday’s hosts have also shipped a trio of strikes in back-to-back matches in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, while the mood in Wigan’s camp might be at a season-low, West Brom have continued to take the Championship by storm since appointing former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic. Winning each of their last six matches on the bounce and remarkably losing just a single appearance all season, no side across England’s footballing tiers can boost a better return than the Baggies. Continuing to shine while away from the Hawthorns and enjoying a four-match winning run outside of the Midlands, the guests have recorded four straight clean sheets on the road and they should be confident of extending that tally in midweek.
