West Brom 4/7 to beat Rotherham in Saturday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: West Brom win

Odds: 4/7 @ Bet 365

Looking to gain some momentum before the playoffs, West Brom will welcome Rotherham to the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while West Brom would have been disappointed to have only picked up a point away at Reading last weekend, the Baggies have their sights on booking a top-flight return this summer. Continuing to impress under caretaker boss James Shan, a huge part of their success this year has come down to their form in the final third. Led by the attacking duo of Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez, they currently hold the second best attacking record in the second-tier, only behind runaway league leaders Norwich. Also now winning their last four matches in the Midlands and scoring a staggering 13 goals on that winning run, Shan’s men should be confident of extending that record this weekend.

As for the visitors, while West Brom might be enjoying a battle at the top of the table, Rotherham find themselves in their own battle at the other end. Throwing away a 1-0 lead over Birmingham and suffering a 3-1 hammering, the Millers now find themselves sat three points adrift of Championship safety with two matches remaining. Now picking up just a single victory since the start of March, a huge part of their issues has come down to their defensive instability. Shipping seven goals in their last two outings, Rotherham have now recorded just a single clean sheet since the 3rd of October.
