The Mail Online understands that Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on securing a deal for West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino though are reluctant on meeting the Baggies’ valuation of the striker.
The twenty-two year old has been strongly linked a move away from The Hawthrons this summer with Spurs the front runners to secure his services however, the North London club have so far failed to meet the £25m asking price.
In just over two years as a first team regular for West Brom, Berhaino has racked up eighty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring twenty-nine goals – nineteen of which have come in the Premier League.
Internationally, he was part of the England’s victorious squad for the 2010 UEFA European Under 17 Championships while he also has ten goals in eleven outings for the Under 21s.
He received his first senior call up back in November, but is yet to make his debut for Roy Hodgson’s side.
