According to Sky Sports, West Bromwich Albion are set to miss out on signing Tom James from Yeovil Town. The 22-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a switch to The Hawthorns throughout most of the summer, with Yeovil supposedly accepting a bid believed to be in the region of £400,000.
Alas, James, who is considered to be one of the brightest young defenders in the country, is set to remain at Yeovil after the move fell through for undisclosed reasons. West Brom have had a turbulent twelve months, to say the least and they’ll likely have to go through some more tough times in the weeks to come, mainly because the majority of Championship teams won’t be taking it easy on them upon their return to the second tier.
The Baggies are set to kick off their return to the Championship this weekend when they take on Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
