West Brom reject Watford Foster bid

Watford have had a £1m bid for Ben Foster rejected by West Bromwich Albion, according to the Mail Online.

The Hornets are interested in securing the services of the goalkeeper, who spent two years on loan at Vicarage Road earlier in his career though the Baggies deemed the offer unacceptable.

Foster moved to the Hawthorns initially on loan from Birmingham City in the summer of 2011 and has since racked up one hundred and eighty appearances in all competitions.

The thirty-five-year-old began his league career with Stoke City but spent most of his time with the club out on loan before switching to Manchester United in 2005.

He played twenty-three times for the Red Devils before leaving for Birmingham City while internationally he has been capped eight times for England.

He was part of the squad that attended the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil and played in the final group game – a goalless draw with Costa Rica.
