French daily L’Equipe has revealed that West Bromwich are closing in on Marseille players Jordan Ayew and Morgan Amalfitano.
The Baggies found themselves in a difficult situation after summer signing Nicolas Anelka hinted that he could retire from football following the death of his agent.
As a result, the Premier League side are hoping to strike some last minute deals in an attempt to add more quality to their attack.
L’Equipe understands that the Baggies have agreed loan deals for Marseille’s Jordan Ayew and Morgan Amalfitano, but the two players have yet to decide whether to accept an offer from the Hawthorns.
Despite showing a lot of promise over the last couple of years, Jordan Ayew has lost his place in the side this term and only made two substitute appearances in the league.
Meanwhile, Morgan Amalfitano is virtually in the same situation, and chances are that both players will be interested in leaving Stade Velodrome.
