West Bromwich Albion are closing in on the signing of Karlan Grant from Huddersfield Town, according to Football Insider. It has been reported that there has been a breakthrough in talks between Premier League club West Brom and Championship side Huddersfield.
The report has claimed that Huddersfield, who were playing in the Premier League just two seasons ago before being relegated to the second tier of English football, have indicated to West Brom the are willing to send Grant on loan with a view to making the move permanent next summer.
According to WhoScored, Grant made 42 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Huddersfield last season, scoring 19 goals and providing four assists in the process. During the 2018-19 campaign, the youngster made nine starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Terriers, scoring four goals in the process. The Baggies are playing in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.
