West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Josh King from Bournemouth before the summer transfer window closes on October 16, according to The Express & Star. It has been reported that the Premier League club have held talks with the Championship side to see how much it would cost to secure the services of the Norway international striker this month.
The report has claimed that Bournemouth – who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season – will sell King for £10 million, but the Baggies are unable to pay that sum in one go. Slaven Bilic’s side are also looking at signing 23-year-old striker Karlan Grant from Huddersfield Town this month.
According to WhoScored, King has played 23 minutes in the Championship for Bournemouth so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the 28-year-old made 24 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Cherries, scoring six goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
