The Premier League returns this midweek for a massive round of games. England’s top competition was given the week off due to the FA Cup, and this will see the players raring to go as they return to their fight for survival or a European place in the world’s most competitive league. With this in mind, West Ham host Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

West Ham have been in very good form this season and they are looking to continue their revival. After 24 games they have won six, drawn eight and lost 10, while they have scored 30 goals and conceded 42 times. In their last five they have won twice and drawn three times which has seen them onto 26 points for the season so far, four clear of Southampton in 18th. It is crucial for David Moyes’ team to maintain the momentum they have been building upon in recent weeks, and they will feel that a win over Crystal Palace will only improve their confidence.

Crystal Palace have also been enjoying a rejuvenation in their form this season and they are looking to put some real distance between themselves and the relegation zone. After 24 matches they have won six, drawn seven and lost 11 times, scoring 22 goals and conceding 37 times. In their last five they have managed to win two, draw one and lost two, which has seen them onto 25 points. Palace are currently three clear of the relegation zone, and they will feel that this game is bordering on a must win with the bottom-half of the table incredibly tight this season.
