West Ham United have made it clear they have no plans to sell Diafra Sakho in the summer transfer window.
The Frenchman was widely expected to leave as he struggled for playing time and he even tried to engineer a move to Rennes.
Sakho reportedly underwent a medical despite not having permission from the club and West Ham co-chairman David Gold has moved to clear up the situation.
“Diafra Sakho is not for sale in this transfer window he is an integral part of our first team squad and will play a part in our recovery,” Gold tweeted.
Rennes and Crystal Palace are believed to be locked in the battle for Sakho, but West Ham chiefs will first have to change their minds before a deadline day move could be completed.
The 27-year-old did pretty well since joining the Hammers from Metz, bagging 21 goals in 58 competitive outings.
