West Ham and Everton battle for Raul Jimenez

Premier League outfits West Ham United and Everton are vying for Benfica striker Raul Jimenez, according to Record.

The highly rated footballer has expressed his desire to leave the club and chances are England will be his next destination.

With both Hammers and Toffees interested in the player’s signature, Benfica chairman Luis Filipe Vieira has traveled to England to try and close the deal with one of the two sides.

The fact that West Ham recently secured the signing of his international teammate Javier Hernandez could persuade Jimenez to move to London, although Everton is probably a more desirable destination at the moment.

The Toffees are tipped to mount a top 4 challenge following the heavy summer recruitment and are priced at 10/1 to succeed in their quest.

Their latest target Raul Jimenez did well to score 12 goals in mere 14 league starts since joining Benfica from Atletico Madrid.
