French daily newspaper L’Equipe claims that Premier League high flyers West Ham are hot on the trail of Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal.
The 24-year-old footballer has been heavily linked with a summer exit due to the fact that he has been unable to agree a new deal at Parc OL.
And with his current contract due to expire in less than a year, it is hardly surprising that top clubs are casting admiring glances his way.
Paris Saint-Germain have already attempted to bring Ghezzal to Parc des Princes, but they could now face stiff competition from West Ham.
Namely, the Hammers have submitted an €8 million proposal for the attacking midfielder, and chances are that Lyon officials will seriously consider the offer given the breakdown in contract talks.
Rachid Ghezzal has already shown a great deal of potential, scoring 11 goals and producing 13 assists in 81 competitive appearances for les Gones.
