Premier League outfit West Ham aim to offload injury-prone striker Andy Carroll at the earliest opportunity, Daily Mail can reveal.
The Hammers signed the 25-year-old from Liverpool for a fee of £15 million two years back, but the striker has since only shown glimpses of quality at Boleyn Ground.
Due to his well-documented injury problems, Carroll could only make 39 Premier League appearances, scoring 9 goals, and it appears West Ham chiefs are slowly losing patience with the former England star.
According to Daily Mail, the Hammers hope to cash in on the striker in the January transfer window, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to find a buyer.
The same source has suggested that Newcastle are prepared to offer £8 million for their former player, while Stoke City and QPR are keen as well. Carroll would also have to accept a major pay cut considering he is currently on a £85,000 per week.
