Premier League high flyers West Ham have confirmed reports linking them with former Arsenal midfielder Havard Nordtveit.
The Norwegian midfielder will be out of contract in the summer and his current employers Borussia M’gladbach recently confirmed their star player would be moving to England.
And it appears that West Ham lead the chase for the player’s services as manager Slaven Bilic has moved to confirm the Hammers are exploring the possibility of recruiting the 25-year-old.
“Many clubs are interested in Nordtveit and monitoring the situation,” Bilic was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “We are also interested in him.”
Havard Nordtveit spent some time at Arsenal having joined from Haugesund, but he left the Gunners without making a single Premier League appearance.
He has since done well to get his career back on track at Borussia M’gladbach, establishing himself as one of Bundesliga’s leading defensive midfielders.
But, after spending five and a half years with die Fohlen, Nordtveit has decided to look for a new challenge and it appears he has already agreed a Premier League switch.
