Premier League strugglers West Ham United have moved to confirm interest in Arsenal playmaker Jack Wilshere.
The Hammers will have to reinforce the squad if they want to avoid the drop to the Championship, even if they are currently 9/4 chance to get relegated.
New boss David Moyes clearly wants to sign seasoned Premiership footballers and he has now confirmed his interest in Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
“You’d hope that if you took a player from another Premier League club it’d be much easier for him to go right into the team and play well,” the Hammers manager said. “Jack Wilshere would be someone who we’d have to look at if he was available.”
Wilshere will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has yet to be offered a new deal.
The 25-year-old didn’t start a single league fixture this season, but he largely impressed in 6 Europa League appearances, and he could prove a very good signing for relegation-threatened West Ham United.
