West Ham have been considering Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater, according to the Telegraph.
Following his £35 million move from Leicester to Chelsea, Drinkwater has grown increasingly frustrated over the lack of game-time at Stamford Bridge, and it has been reported that he’s considering his options.
Those are likely to be plenty, regardless of the fact that he’s started just five Premier League games this season under Antonio Conte, and the Telegraph believe West Ham are one of them. They are quite certain Drinkwater would fit their needs in centre midfield very well. They are prepared to submit a substantial offer, but Chelsea’s asking price will influence the possibility of the move happening significantly. It could be the only thing to throw a spanner into the works. Chelsea would look to recoup most, if not all, of what they paid for the player in the first place as they seek funds to bring in some new players themselves. Monaco are interested in resigning Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the Telegraph believe Chelsea would rather sell Drinkwater.
