West Ham considering Forlan bid

West Ham United are keen on signing Diego Forlan in a bid to ease their striker woes, the Mirror understands.

The Uruguay international is currently plying his trade in Brazil with Internacional, where he has scored twenty-two goals in fifty-four appearances since signing from Inter Milan last summer.

Manager Sam Allardyce is desperate to bring in a more firepower during January, after admitting to missing out on four forward targets during the summer.

The 34 year old would bring in a wealth of experience, and spent two years in the English top-flight with Manchester United a decade ago.

The Hammers go in to tomorrow’s match against Chelsea looking to improve on a run which has seen them win just one of their last ten league matches.

They can be backed at 5/1 to secure a victory against their London rivals, as they did in last season’s corresponding fixture twelve months ago.
