West Ham United are interested in securing the services of Charlton Athletic midfielder Diego Poyet, according to the Mirror.
The eighteen year old, who is the son of Sunderland manager Gustavo, broke into the Addicks first team this season and has notched up seven appearances in all competitions, the last of which came in Sunday’s FA Cup quarter final defeat to Sheffield United.
Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for the England U17 international, who has ruled out any possibility of playing under his father.
Charlton, who sit bottom of the Championship, sacked manager Chris Powell on Tuesday after the former England left-back won just one of his last eight games in charge.
They do however have as many as four games in hand on the sides immediately above them in the division, and return to league action when Huddersfield Town visit the Valley tomorrow evening.
