According to Sky Sports sources, West Ham United could enter the race to sign Callum Wilson if star striker Marko Arnautovic ends up leaving for China. The Hammers assured fans that they weren’t expecting him to leave, but the Austrian forward seemed to wave goodbye to the club during their win over Arsenal at the weekend. If Arnautovic does leave then it’s believed that Manuel Pellegrini would be the one who has the final say, with his valuation being placed at around £50 million.
Attempting to sign Wilson wouldn’t exactly be the easiest task in the world for them, though, with the Englishman being heavily linked with a move to Chelsea who are said to be willing to pay £50 million themselves. If that wasn’t bad enough Tottenham Hotspur are also in the race to sign the Bournemouth star, meaning that West Ham would likely require a minor miracle – or those two clubs to sign bigger names – if they want to stand a chance of securing his signature.
