West Ham edge closer to Anderson deal

According to Sky Sports sources, West Ham United and Lazio are in ‘advanced negotiations’ over the signing of Felipe Anderson. The 25-year-old Brazilian has been with the club since 2013 when he moved over from Santos, and in that time he’s established himself as one of the club’s most effective all-around attacking midfielders. The Hammers, on the other hand, continue to try and make a series of statements in the summer transfer window.

The East London club confirmed the signing of Jack Wilshere from Arsenal less than 24 hours ago, and now, it seems as if they’re going all in on acquiring their primary transfer targets. The club’s main aim since moving to their new stadium has always been to establish themselves as consistent top six contenders, and while they haven’t managed to do so just yet, bringing in players like Wilshere and Anderson could help to take them to that next level.
