West Ham United are interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, as they hunt for replacement for Sebastien Haller, according to The London Evening Standard. Haller has joined Ajax, and the Hammers are reportedly looking for a striker to replace him in the team.
Among the strikers West Ham are looking at is Arsenal youngster Nketiah. The 21-year-old is a regular in manager Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad, but the former Leeds United loanee is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup. Nketiah has scored one goal and provided one assist in 310 minutes in the Premier League and has scored three goals in six Europa League matches so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Arsenal manager Arteta is unlikely to sell Nketiah on a permanent basis this month, as he is rated very highly and can be a regular in the team in the future. However, a loan move to West Ham could help the youngster in his development if he gets to play regularly.
