West Ham eye Santon move

West Ham United have joined the race to sign Inter Milan defender Davide Santon, according to the Mail Online.

The Hammers have turned their attention to the Italy international as they look for a replacement for Aaron Cresswell, who is set to miss the first four months of the new season through injury.

They had been interested in signing Norwich City defender Martin Olsson though the Canaries refused to do business.

Sanotn, who has also been a target for fellow Premier League outfit Sunderland has previously played for Newcastle United, racking up ninety-four appearances for the North East outfit in all competitions between 2011 and 2015.

His one and only goal in England came in a 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic in March 2013.

Having returned to them initially on loan in January 2015, Santon has racked up twenty-seven games for Inter since while he played for them fifty-three times before moving to St James’s Park.
